Spring Break in the Rockies

The trees are starting to bloom.....

The birds are returning and building nests....despite a snow shower....

And the Huberts arrived in Denver to spend Spring Break with us....

We visited the Denver Mint which didn't allow pictures--the Paparazzi were disappointed...

But we were not deterred and continued on to IKEA---

The next day we went to the Denver Zoo---Jack catches a ride on Dave's shoulders.

We went to the Lorikeet Aviary and feed the Lorikeets some nectar

Ella and Jack tried the "How Far Can You Jump"...

This Cormorant flew into the Penguin habitat and threatened the little guys with loud squawking and aggressive behavior--the penguins grouped together and tried to chase him away, but one against many this time was sufficient.....he ruled!

Brunch was started by the cooks, Missi making coffee, Brynn making pancakes, Dan and Seth...lots of eggs, bacon, ham, sweet potato hash, biscuits, breakfast burritos, juice, etc.
