Buffalo Stew Supper with Cowboy Songs

Tom & PatsyFort Robinson, NE
We found Ft. Robinson to be a relaxing, peaceful setting and were glad Roger and Nancy chose it for our outing. This historic outpost served from the days of the Indian Wars until after World War II. This was the site of the 1879 Cheyenne outbreak and the death of the famed Sioux Chief Crazy Horse.
There are many activities: trail horseback riding, swimming, tennis, horse-drawn rides, buffalo stew supper, and steak cookout with cowboy singing and a Western poet/historian.
We stayed at the barracks and the accommodations included en suite and a deck where we were able to lounge together and visit.

We had a steak cookout complete with a Western poet/historian who told us about Crazy Horse and the Fort's history.

Horseback riding was interesting--Tom on Melvin.
